Third Grade Parents Bible Equipping Class – Jan. 15 – 29 (three-week class)

Third grade parents, please mark your calendars and plan to join Tyra for three Sundays (1/15, 1/22, 1/29). Third grade is a year of discovery and growth! By third grade, your child is ready to have his/her own Bible. This is why Westview is offering this three-session course called First Bible: Bible Equipping & Blessing.

At these three sessions, you will discuss how to…

• Use the Bible in your own devotions and in your family devotions.

• Understand how the Bible fits together.

• Use the power of God’s word to direct our lives & our children’s lives to be blessed by the Bible.

You may remember the powerful Bible Blessing Ceremony last year in January if you were attending Westview Church! The exciting and blessed news is…this year, it’s your turn! You will present a Bible to your child in a special Bible Blessing Ceremony on 1/29 during the worship service, when you will also speak words of blessing over your child. Please sign up by e-mailing Tyra(at)westview(dot)org or sign up at the Welcome Center.

• Practice Your Promise

This class incorporates weekly video segments.  Participant Guide recommended: $8.

Ministry 101: facilitated by Susan Watson – Feb. 12-26 (three-week class)

God created you for a life of service – a life with a purpose.  Join us for this 3-week course as we explore the person God created you to be and discover how you can be fruitful and fulfilled in a meaningful place of service.

Financial Responsibility With Your Children: facilitated by Erika Johnson & Tyra Behnkendorf – Apr. 15 & 22 (two-week class)

Children are never too young to learn responsible money habits, the value of a dollar, and how wonderful it is to be generous to others. This two-week class will cover practical ways to involve your children in earning and saving money, giving to others, and learning to be patient and wait to purchase items until they can be purchased with cash – not credit. Implementing these ideas will forever change the way your children use and view money – God’s way. Program designed for children ages 3 – 18.
