Amazing things are happening here in the lives of our Westview children and their families! We’re all about reaching children for Jesus in this ever-changing world. Our dedicated volunteers pour their hearts, skills, and time into each and every child that comes under their care.
But our service to children is more than that! Westview is a place where moms and dads are encouraged to be the best parents they can be and families are supported in a variety of ways. We believe that parents are the most important faith teachers in their children’s lives, so at Westview, we want to come alongside of you, meet you where you are, and support you along this important discipleship journey. Together with God, all things are possible!
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

* What about my children – do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?
We offer one family-friendly worship service at 10:30 Sunday mornings. During this service, our Children’s Ministries provide an exciting experience for infants (Nursery), toddlers (2-3 yr old activity time), and children ages 4-8 (Children’s Worship). Our professional nursery is open from 8:45-11:45 a.m. for children birth through age 3. Parents will keep their children ages 4-8 with them during the service until the children are dismissed to Children’s Worship. This occurs during the service after the morning offering.
* Children’s Worship is offered for children ages 4 through 2nd grade. This is a 40-minute time from the pastor’s message to the end of worship in which children gather together. During Children’s Worship, your children will participate in age-appropriate worship and spiritual education led by caring, experienced Children’s Worship leaders. We live out two values: 1. We believe it is important for children to be a part of the congregational Body of Christ watching and participating with parents and commmunity in worship. 2. We believe it is important for children to connect with one another and with God in a visual, age-appropriate manner.
*During the school year from September 11 through May 13, 2012, we offer Discovery Hour for all ages (children & adults) from 9:00-10:00. This is a well-attended time before the church service for adults and children to connect, form friendships, worship, grow in Bible knowledge and in God’s authentic application to our lives! Children ages 3 through 5th grade meet in a large group/small group format with similar-aged peers. It’s a fun, engaging, active, God-centered experience! Children are given activities to complete at home with their families to encourage family spiritual growth.
*Restless Child Area & Nursing Room in Room 109 During Worship: On Sunday mornings from 10:00-11:30, Room 109 will serve as a space for parents with restless children and nursing Moms. There is a live feed to the TV, so you can watch the church service! We pray this space is a blessing to Westview’s young families.
