“So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 8:15
I commend to you…life! What is life all about? The Westminster Catechism answers that the purpose of life is “to know God and enjoy him forever”. God wants us to enjoy life. He knows that, if we make it our life’s aim to know him, we will find peace in the regular activities of our days.
And that is a good thing!
