Westview felt like a place I needed to be once I heard their mission statement. “Finding rest” is something I desperately need in my daily life. Being told I can do this “in Christ” is not revolutionary, but it brings a different perspective to worship and life that I have and will keep enjoying.

We had been looking for a church to go to when starting our family nearly 4 years ago. The first service that we went to Westview, we knew that this was the one for us and we immediately felt welcome and felt like we had found our church home. Pastor Josh is one of the most personal, humble, and intelligent people that we know, and the church community and people of Westview are like no other. We truly think that Westview Church is something special.

When Julie and I decided to move to West Des Moines we began asking God to lead us to a good church. Being a bit OCD I had a list of "qualifications" and by visiting church websites we identified three churches to visit. On our first Sunday at Westview every item on our list was checked and after the service we decided to scrap the other two churches on the list. Westview was exactly what we were looking for and we still feel that way. At Westview we experienced a warm welcome, powerful and positive preaching and a body of folks, young and old, who love serving the Lord.

Westview Church has been a special place for my wife Judy and I for about 20 years now. We were originally attracted to Westview because of its authentic teachings around the Christian bible with application to our daily lives. We have stayed for this long because of the people and Westview's enduring commitment to engage in our local communities and serve those around us. The heart of Westview Church is truly Christ like and all are welcomed and loved. I have been part of several of the church boards and the question that we always asked ourselves before any decision was "What would Jesus do". The people atmosphere is warm, inviting, respectful, always willing to help out and most importantly, focused on Christ.
